Although the news with regard to keeping the sanitary facilities on the campsites closed continues until July 1, the SVR do not sit down.
As is known, the events industry is one of the hardest hit sectors due to the Corona crisis. Until there is a vaccine, large-scale events will not be possible and the events industry will shut down completely. This is likely to continue for another year.
Now we can of course continue to focus on what is not possible now, but we prefer to look at what is possible, according to the SVR. With this in mind, a wonderful collaboration has now been established with a number of specialists from the events industry. Specialists who are normally in the organization of Low Lands, Mysteryland, DEFCON, etc. and who would also be involved in Formula 1 in Zandvoort this year, are now committed to the SVR campsites in the Netherlands.

Sanitary units that would now be at all kinds of events are now dusting on storage areas. But from now on a new destination may be found for this, namely to be used as private sanitary facilities on the small campsites.
Many Dutch campers will not travel abroad this year and will stay in their own country. Until at least 1 July, all sanitary facilities on campsites are compulsorily closed by the government and you have to rely on your own chemical toilet and laundry room in the caravan or camper. Even after that date, many people will enjoy using private sanitary facilities for fear of contamination. Thanks to this partnership, private sanitary facilities will be available to them at numerous SVR campsites until the end of the season.
Naturally, the SVR will continue its efforts to have the sanitary facilities on campsites open earlier than July 1, but until then, but also longer, the private sanitary facilities that are realized in this way will be a nice alternative.
In this way, the SVR hopes to offer camping in the Netherlands in the short term, Ascension and Whitsun, but also for the longer term, the summer holidays and autumn, the opportunity to enjoy peace and space at the most beautiful small campsites in our beautiful Netherlands. and thus still have an unforgettable holiday.
