The car washes in our country and in other countries are all affected by the corona virus. In Belgium, the car wash even had to close from March 18. Due to the corona crisis and the contact-limiting rules from the government, all kinds of measures have to be taken in the car wash.

Most car wash holders have taken all kinds of measures to be able to offer their services corona proof to the customer. For example, they ask the customer to pin as much as possible, preferably contactless. The employees also all wear gloves. If you use the vacuum cleaners, you are obliged to use disposable gloves. Vacuum cleaners, light buttons, handles, pin machines and cash registers are disinfected by staff on a very regular basis.

Many car washes do not do interior cleaning or VIP treatments now. If companies do offer this, the car is first disinfected with a special spray that is suitable for the interior. After cleaning, the car is disinfected again. Everywhere hang disinfection gel and disinfectant hand soap for customers and employees. And of course the rule of 1,5 meters distance also applies here.

So does one car wash made an online service for customers in Apeldoorn. You can choose a car wash program on their website and pay for it there via ideal. You will then receive a QR code in your mailbox. You can print this code or open it on your phone. With that QR code you can go to the car wash and there it is scanned by an employee through the closed window.

In this way there is no contact and the employee and the customer remain safe. After using this service, you can also use the vacuum cleaners for free. This is an example of how you can creatively search for solutions in order to still be able to provide a service during this difficult time and at the same time generate some turnover.
