Irish airline RyanAir, which recently applied for state aid, wants to significantly increase its activities from the summer holidays. From July onwards, there should be about a thousand flights a day again. Strict conditions are set. For example, travelers are required to wear mouth masks, their temperature is taken before boarding and they must ask the cabin crew whether they are allowed to use the toilet, in order to avoid queues in the aisles.

Another condition is that by then governments have lifted restrictions on flights within Europe and that adequate health measures are being taken at airports.

"We will start flying again from most of our eighty bases in Europe," said a press release. "There will be fewer flights per day or per week than usual on certain routes, as we choose to restart on as many connections as possible rather than flying a lot on just a few routes."

Yesterday Corendon Travel Agency also announced that it would be fully committed to corona-free summer holidays. The company is busy setting up a corona-proof holiday for holidaymakers who still want to leave this summer. They want to offer this holiday from the end of July.

Corendon wants to offer a corona-proof trip to a holiday resort in, for example, Sicily, Turkey or Sardinia. The holidaymakers are not allowed to leave the resort for the entire holiday, this is an important rule that should not be deviated from. This corona-proof holiday is only possible at all-inclusive resorts because they are easy to shield from the outside world.
