After more than twelve years of being active in public transport, Arjan Wiering has now made the switch to Munckhof Group
Jos Poortinga will leave Munckhof Groep as Taxi Director on 1 July. Jos has held this position since 2008. He has played an important role in the enormous growth and professionalization that the Munckhof Group and specifically Munckhof Taxi have made over the years. Jos announced in December 2022 that he would be leaving the world of passenger transport and is still considering a new challenge. Arjan Wiering has been on board since April and has already taken over Jos' duties. As COO, he now forms the management of Munckhof Groep, together with Tom Roefs (CEO) and Patrick Straetemans (CFO).
"After more than 15 years of Munckhof and a total of 25 years of being active in passenger transport, it is time for something new," says Jos Poortinga.
“I am proud of what we have achieved and of the company as it is today. We have been working in a very competitive market for years, in which the demands of our clients are high and the labor market is particularly tight. In combination with the fact that the assignments are often large and complex, this requires a company like Munckhof to continuously sail close to the wind. Together with a great team, we have achieved a great performance in recent years. I look back with great enthusiasm on a very nice period and hand over the helm to Arjan Wiering with full confidence.”, says Jos Poortinga.
Arjan Wiering?
After more than twelve years of being active in public transport, Arjan Wiering has now made the switch to Munckhof Group. In his role as Chief Operating Officer (COO), he is responsible for all taxi and coach activities within the Passenger Transport business line.
“I started at mid-April Munckhof and have used the past few weeks to work intensively with Jos on the transfer and to get to know the organization. I am proud to be able to take over from him. Munckhof is a great organization where more than 1800 colleagues work passionately every day to get all travelers to their desired destination on time and with satisfaction. The challenges that Jos talks about are still very topical. That means all hands on deck. I am really looking forward to working with a strong team of professionals.”
