The Dutch Railways uses buses to various RET metro stops and vice versa to replace the trains.

If you want to travel by train to or from Rotterdam Central this coming weekend, you will have to find an alternative because there are no trains to and from Rotterdam Central. During the weekend of Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 June, Rotterdam Central Station will not be accessible by rail, due to work being carried out by ProRail. Extra crowds and extra travel time must be taken into account. Rotterdam Central and the shops are open as usual.

The Dutch Railways uses buses to various RET metro stops and vice versa to replace the trains. With a valid NS ticket, you can travel from the various RET metro stops to an NS station, and then continue your journey by train. Every year more and more people travel by train. This growth will continue in the coming years and will mainly be concentrated on commuting during rush hours and on the busy routes to and from the major cities.
