We are in the middle of the summer holidays, last Friday the South region was given the last holiday. Many people are or are still going on holiday by plane. Like all other airports, Eindhoven Airport has to contend with enormous crowds. Travelers are experiencing enormous hindrance from the long queues and will soon also have to deal with traffic disruption. Travelers flying from Eindhoven Airport are currently advised to arrive at the airport 2,5 to 3 hours before the departure of their flight and not earlier. You can't check in your luggage earlier than 3 hours before departure of your flight and you can't go through the security check yet. The queues for the security check are long and often start outside, far in front of the airport.

Keep in mind the weather, on some days it is very hot and you are not always sheltered in the queue outside. An umbrella is useful, even when it rains. Tents have been set up, but the queue is often longer than the row of tents. You can fill your bottle of water at a water tap and there is also a food truck on the grounds in front of the airport. The airport, in collaboration with Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, will also provide live performances in the terminal by local artists from Eindhoven and the surrounding area on Friday and Saturday between 15 July and the end of August. this with the aim of making the wait more pleasant and at the same time introducing passers-by to talents from the Brainport region.

In addition, travelers should also take into account that from next Thursday evening until August 22, traffic on the A2/N2 Randweg Eindhoven will have to deal with serious traffic disruption between the Batadorp and Leenderheide junctions in both directions due to the construction of a tunnel. The extra travel time can be up to 60 minutes during busy periods. There will be three separate diversion routes for (car) traffic to Eindhoven Airport. These are indicated on the spot. It's about diversion routes coming from the direction of Tilburg, coming from the direction of Den Bosch and coming from the direction of Maastricht.
