The first working day after the long Easter weekend was looking out for the road. The KNMI warns against local ice, especially in the east and southeast of the country, and has set code yellow for this. The slipperiness is because hail or snow remains. According to KNMI, the situation lasts until mid-morning. In the (north) western coastal area, heavy gusts of wind of 80-100 kilometers per hour are also possible from a northwestern direction.

The ANWB also warns against winter showers. Accidents have already happened here and there due to icy roads, including on the A12 from The Hague to Utrecht, at the Gouwe junction. On the A348 (Arnhem-Doesburg) a chain collision occurred at De Steeg between five vehicles, including an ambulance with a patient in it. It has been transferred to another ambulance. Various accidents due to slipperiness are also reported around Drachten (Friesland).

Scattering was done as a precaution in a number of places, including Lelystad and Amstelveen, especially on bridges and viaducts.
