TVM insurance's head office will remain in Hoogeveen. Today, all employees and other important stakeholders were informed by the management about the choice for Hoogeveen. In addition to Hoogeveen, Zwolle was also previously in the picture as a location, partly because of a slightly more central location in the country and the presence of higher vocational education courses. However, after a careful process, the management has given preference to Hoogeveen.

A compelling argument is the announced arrival of an IT hub from the University of Groningen to Hoogeveen, a development made possible by the benevolent efforts of the province of Drenthe and the municipality of Hoogeveen. For TVM, a growing organization with approximately 500 employees and a premium turnover of 325 million euros, it is crucial that it can attract more university and HBO-trained employees in the future.

Another consideration concerns the composition and domiciles of the current workforce. TVM is an organization with loyal employees who have specific knowledge of the logistics and transport industry. The growth of TVM is largely due to them, according to the management. A move would entail the risk that some of these employees would leave due to the increase in travel time.

With the arrival of the IT hub of the University of Groningen on the one hand and the retention of the current employees involved on the other, TVM will get the best of both worlds.

TVM has been given an option on a ground location, near the station in Hoogeveen. This location is also interesting for TVM with a view to future mobility. This scenario will be further investigated and elaborated in the coming period, in addition to the scenario of adaptation of the current location.

“It is important and nice for all parties, our employees first, that there is now clarity about the future accommodation of TVM. We have gone through a careful process and considered all interests in our decision-making. The choice for Hoogeveen is focused on the future and based on the past. After all, we have grown up here, and we owe that largely to our current employees. ”, Says Arjan Bos, CEO of TVM insurance.
