On the user day in Scheveningen, not only the presentation of the new Pitane Mobility Coach is on the agenda module, but also the presentation of the brand new Pitane Mobility Driver App.

The new 'native' app is packed with technical features such as logging in via Face ID or fingerprint, a link with various payment systems, support for Pitane Mobility Assist and a completely new user interface that meets all expectations of our users.

Main advantages: ease of use, speed and knowing where the driver is.

One of the main novelties is the adjustable GPS update interval and a self-registering user account on the central without the intervention of a planner or system administrator.

A lot of time preceded the construction of the new app. All technical aspects are currently being thoroughly tested within a selected group of Pitane Mobility users.

New technology necessary to continue to meet the requirements.

Google will no longer allow 2021-bit versions of apps in the Play Store from August 32. All Android apps must then be ported to 64-bit versions. As of August 1, 2019, developers must offer 32-bit variants of apps in addition to 64-bit versions.

A 64-bit architecture phone can handle more RAM and run heavier apps. This allows smartphones to multitask better.

Apple has stopped supporting 11-bit versions since iOS 32. Therefore, apps for iOS that only support 32-bit support will no longer work on iPhones and iPads with recent versions of the mobile operating system.

New technical requirements require a modified license structure.

The Pitane Mobility Driver is not an upgrade to the existing 32 bit versions currently in use. This new generation of apps requires a new license that is a lot higher in price terms than its predecessors.
