Avan awards part of demand-dependent and collective transport to Munckhof.

As of August 1, 2024, Munckhof will take over a significant part of the demand-dependent and collective transport from Avan. This change follows a careful European tender procedure, in which Munckhof emerged as a suitable partner. The assignment, which covers several municipalities, indicates a growing role for Munckhof in the regional transport landscape.

The new agreement includes demand-dependent transport for residents of Duiven, Montferland, Westervoort and Zevenaar, as well as route-related transport for Arnhem, Doesburg, Renkum, Rheden and Rozendaal. With a contract duration ranging from six to ten years, this collaboration marks a long-term commitment between the transport organizations and the municipalities involved.

The decision for this transition was made by the management organization Target Group Transport Region Arnhem Nijmegen (BVO DRAN). They are at the helm of coordinating and implementing target group transport in the region. The choice of Munckhof is the result of an extensive selection process, in which several providers were considered.

The contracts have a term of at least six to a maximum of ten years. This decision was made by the management organization Target Group Transport Region Arnhem Nijmegen (BVO DRAN), which is responsible for coordinating and implementing target group transport in this region.

Esther Vaessen, Contract Manager at Transport Organization Regio Arnhem Nijmegen, emphasizes the positive experiences with Munckhof. “We already work with Munckhof on several plots. Until now, the cooperation has always been very good and constructive. We are happy that we will also be working with Munckhof on these parts and have confidence in the future,” says Vaessen.

Munckhof is also enthusiastic about the expansion of the collaboration. Arjan Wiering, COO of Munckhof, expresses his pride about the new agreement. “We are very proud that we can further expand the collaboration. In total, more than 80 Munckhof vehicles are used for demand-dependent and collective transport. The vehicles are controlled from our own branch in Arnhem. A home game, which makes this collaboration even more special!”

The transition of transport to Munckhof, scheduled for Thursday, August 1, 2024, is an important milestone for both the organizations and the residents of the municipalities involved. From that date, Munckhof will assume responsibility for providing demand-dependent and collective transport within the allocated plots.
