From Monday and the days that follow, the chance of showers remains high.

The Belgian Traffic Institute warns for a treacherous smoothness. Motorcyclists and car drivers in particular must then be alert to the slippery road surface. Those who long for some cooling will be happy. On Sunday there is a change on the program after a month of tropical heat. Although the day will still start quite sunny with high veil clouds, cumulus clouds will gradually form. From the southwest, the chance of some local rain and thunderstorms is increasing.

Stef Willems of the Belgian traffic institute Vias warns that even a little bit of rain feels like driving on ice. He explains why: “After a month, oil residue, rubber residue and dust particles may have accumulated on the road surface. In combination with rainwater, this can lead to a thin, slippery and slimy layer.”

In the meantime, rain has fallen in various parts of the country. Caution is also advised next week. A thunderstorm zone from France will pass our country on Sunday night. From Monday and in the following days, the chance of showers remains high. Only from Friday does the weather seem to become stable again.
