Employers must indicate in the SFM portal at least one day in advance what shift and times drivers are scheduled. A distinction is made here between maxflex and service blocks. You can read the changes in Article 2.1.5 to 2.1.9 and 2.1.15  of the new collective agreement. In short, this means that from 1 March there will be two types of services, Maxflex or service blocks.

Change as of March 1

The definition of the paid time will change as of March 1, 2022. Unpaid interruptions will then become a thing of the past. Instead, in a no-block service, taxi drivers are paid for all the time they are available for work. An employee cannot therefore work in shifts and shifts in one day. The type of service and the times must be made known to SFM the day before via a portal. This portal has not yet been developed.

"If you opt for service blocks, you must be paid 100% of the service time, but you can give several service blocks per day. This depends on the scope of the employment contract."

Until the moment that this portal is put into operation, companies do not have to inform SFM of the type of service and the service times in advance, but this must be apparent from the administration. The employer must keep clear and proper records of the employee's daily working time. From this administration it can be deduced at which times the shift starts, ends and is interrupted in the sense that the employee is not available to the employer.
