In previous years up to 2019, AIM noted that in nearly 70% of the tenders assessed by AIM, price played a dominant role in the award of transportation. Fortunately, this changed slightly in 2019. from analyses it appears that this percentage has dropped to below 50% in relative terms. Transport is an extension of care for a vulnerable target group and therefore see this shift as a positive development. AIM hopes that this line will continue in the coming years and is actively monitoring it.

The situation in healthcare transport can be compared well with that of home healthcare, which has been discussed and published a lot.
