We are tired of the lockdown and we yearn for freedom. We had to wait a long time, but from today the terraces and shops can finally open again and the curfew is canceled. Outdoor terraces may open from 12:00 to 18:00 under certain conditions. All shops and markets can also receive customers again without a shop appointment. Certain conditions also apply here. Shops may open from 06 a.m. to 00 p.m. to spread the crowds more. Those who plan to spend a day shopping and sit on a terrace can finally indulge themselves again. Yet crowds should still be avoided by everyone. The question is, of course, how this will go, everyone wants to get out again, as was evident from the news reports that when the weather was nice everyone flocked to the park.

The municipality of Eindhoven has placed an online Pressure Meter on their website, so that from today you can see where it is busy in the center of Eindhoven and where it is not. If you want to go to the shop or the terrace in the heart of Eindhoven, you can first check on the website of the municipality whether it is busy or not. The Druktemeter works like a kind of traffic light: with green it is quiet and you can just go, with red it is too busy and they advise you to go at a different time. With yellow and orange, the crowds increase, so it is smart to skip those places or visit at a different, quiet time. Crowds are measured using GPS data from mobile phones. Only data from people who have given permission is used for this. It goes according to Eindhoven municipality to anonymized location data that complies with the General Data Protection Regulation. The data is refreshed every XNUMX minutes.
