Vehicle sharing technology supplier WeGo introduces a new proposition for its automotive customers. These are subscriptions for a fixed amount per month, where the customer can switch between cars without restrictions within the same class. The monthly price includes all costs, except fuel. Changing the car is based on availability, can be done as often as desired and at any time of the day.

MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY

The customer does not take out such a subscription for a specific car, but for a certain category and price range. That can also be a category with, for example, only young cars. The customer pays a fixed amount per month and takes home a car that can be used as much as desired. But you can also change cars - within the same category - in the meantime. The monthly price and the conditions do not change. This means that the customer will never unexpectedly be confronted with a higher bill or other conditions.

EASY CHANGE OF CAR

If the customer wants a different car during the rental period, he can arrange this himself via his own mobility app on his phone. WeGo delivers this app and, if desired, also in the branding of the car rental company, dealer or their customers. The customer sees in the app the availability of other cars within the chosen class from the provider. Is there another car available? Then the customer can easily reserve it via the app and release the car that is currently in use for other renters.

For the car exchange, it is necessary to drive to the exchange point, but the exchange can then be done entirely independently by the customer. This is because the entry and issue also takes place entirely via the app, which also serves as a digital car key. As a result, the status of the vehicle is always transparent and no physical transfer is required. Because the customer does not have to collect and return the key, it is possible to change cars 24/7.

NEW POSSIBILITIES FOR MOBILITY CUSTOMERS

WeGo is launching this new proposition so that car dealers and rental companies can provide a service that offers their (business) customers even more convenience, freedom and flexibility. Subscriptions are interesting for both consumers and fleet owners. For fleet owners, for example, it is very interesting if, for a fixed amount per month, several employees have access via their telephone to a vehicle of their choice within a certain category or price range. This enables companies to scale their own fleet to the necessary number of vehicles, which means that significant cost savings can be achieved.

With this solution, the customer knows exactly how much money he is paying each month and how this relates to actual use, rather than being tied to one specific vehicle. ”

FUTURE-PROOF SOLUTION

The system that WeGo provides can fully facilitate the offering of subscriptions. The solution consists of a box that is built into the relevant cars, an online tool for the manager in which everything can be set and an app for the customer. The customer can be billed automatically from the management tool based on the chosen subscription. With this service, car dealers and rental companies can provide customers in their region with flexible car use at a fixed price. And every local provider can also provide a number of cars with a box for its regular customers.

It is good to know that more and more car manufacturers are now marketing vehicles with the necessary hardware already installed. The system of weGo is prepared for this and can easily be hooked up to the available hardware. The big advantage of this for the vehicle manager is that no separate investment has to be made for additional hardware. WeGo reports this on their website through this press release.
