Today, the decision of Sunweb Group not to continue the acquisition of Corendon and to terminate the sale and purchase agreement in accordance with the terms and conditions will be submitted to the Amsterdam court. As previously announced, Sunweb Group has terminated the transaction because the seller has not met all the conditions for the final end date set in the sales and purchase agreement.

"Our defense in this case speaks for itself and we are confident of a positive outcome. The conditions that have not been met are essential and were extensively negotiated prior to the signing of the sales and purchase agreement. Sunweb Group has been deeply involved in this process, but now we must act in the interests of our customers, partners and employees”, Says Mattijs ten Brink, CEO Sunweb Group.

After the hearing, Sunweb Group can once again fully focus on the challenges of the current pandemic to manage them in an active and responsible manner. As a standalone company, Sunweb Group has taken all necessary actions to ensure the successful survival of the organization.

Ten Brink: "Despite this serious crisis, we believe in our own future after we can leave the lawsuit with Corendon behind. We will continue to use this time to refine the strategy and invest in our digital capabilities. "

Sunweb Group will await the court's decision and is confident in its legal position. Further announcements are made when necessary. Sunweb Group reports this on their today website.
