For the time being, the Eurostar will not run from Amsterdam to London on weekends yet, Treinreiziger.nl writes on their website. From 26 October, travelers can only travel directly from Amsterdam to London on the Eurostar during the week. Only from mid-December, when the new timetable starts, travelers can also use the Eurostar to travel to and from the Netherlands on weekends. The reason that the Eurostar does not run on weekends for the time being is that according to Eurostar there are various rail works. This turns out to be incorrect, there are also rail works on this route during the week. The Eurostar does run from Amsterdam to London, although only once a day and the train takes an hour longer than normal.

On the question that Trainpassenger.nl According to the Eurostar spokesperson, Eurostar thinks that the train will be canceled for weeks due to work, spokesman Stefanie van Mierlo responds after some insistence with an evasive answer. "I can just tell you that we are very happy that we can start with the direct connection from October," the spokesperson responds.

Various English media also reported this week that due to the consequences of the corona pandemic, Eurostar trains will no longer stop over the canal in North Kent (England) for the next two years. The stations Ebbsfleet international and Ashford international were closed earlier this year due to the corona pandemic, but are now closed for the time being. Eurostar wants to reopen these stations in 2022. The corona crisis has caused the number of bookings with Eurostar to drop by 90 percent compared to last year. That is, among other things, the reason for stopping certain connections.
