A record number of corona infections was registered on Curaçao on Wednesday. The government has announced that it is being investigated whether there was a specific meeting where many people were infected. More than thirty of the new infections cannot be linked to existing cases. Curaçao now has more than three hundred active infections. Since the start of the pandemic, two people have died from the effects of the corona virus. To combat the virus, a curfew has been imposed for nearly two months.

In the Caribbean municipality of St. Eustatius, no new corona infections have been registered for some time. That is why the government has decided to soften the measures. This means that meetings of up to XNUMX people may again be organized. It is also no longer mandatory to work from home.  The second wave seems to have passed its peak in the Netherlands, but Wednesday there was a sudden increase in the number of infections.

From December 1, wearing a face mask in public spaces will be mandatory. The fine for not wearing a mouth mask in areas where it is mandatory will be 95 euros. The Ministry of Justice and Security confirmed this on Wednesday evening. The amount is in line with other fines for corona violations. There is therefore no criminal record for a mouth cap fine.

In Germany, too, the number of new corona infections detected in the last 21.866 hours has increased again. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the German equivalent of the RIVM, reports 24 new infections. In the last 215 hours, an additional 19 people in Germany died from Covid-11.982. The total death toll in the Federal Republic thus comes to XNUMX.
