It is remarkable that the parking subscription is personal and not linked to the license plate of the car.

The Efteling, the famous amusement park in Kaatsheuvel, is known for its fairytale attractions and magical experiences, but recently there has been criticism of the park's parking policy. This policy forces families with annual subscriptions to purchase multiple parking subscriptions for the same car, a situation that raises questions about the fairness and logic behind this rule.

When both husband and wife of a family with an annual subscription visit the park separately with the same car, they are obliged to each purchase a separate parking subscription. This policy appears to be contrary to common sense, as the parking subscription, like the park subscription, is personal and therefore not transferable, regardless of whether it concerns the same car.

This issue casts a shadow over the overall positive experience of the park. While guests of the Efteling Hotel and the Bosrijk and Loonsche Land holiday parks can enjoy free parking in the central car park, annual season ticket holders are faced with additional costs.

In addition, the park offers a special area for dropping off and picking up guests, located next to the public bus stops. This location, although convenient, does not allow you to stop at the bus stops themselves. There is a special drop-off and pick-up point at the bicycle shed for visitors with a wheelchair. Theater visitors also have the option to park at the main entrance of Efteling Park, with special parking tickets available for €7,50.

A more flexible approach, allowing one parking subscription per vehicle, regardless of the number of subscription holders using the car, could be a step towards greater customer satisfaction.

Efteling Park, which strives to provide a magical and hassle-free experience for all its guests, could consider revising its parking policy so that families are not unnecessarily burdened with double costs. A more flexible and family-friendly policy would be in line with the wonderful and welcoming atmosphere that characterizes the park.
