The preparations for Pitane Mobility have now entered a new phase, now that the interface specification is online. The technical consultation is currently taking place in both groups and 1-on-1 sessions between participants and ILT. The Eindhoven software company Censys BV had previously announced that they will offer their Pitane Mobility software free of charge to entrepreneurs in the taxi sector for 90 days. This decision was taken in the run-up to the mandatory link to the Central Database Taxi (CDT) of the Dutch government. With this action, Censys BV hopes not only to facilitate the transition to the new digital systems, but also to help smaller entrepreneurs and freelancers get used to the new wave of automation. This initiative comes in preparation for the abolition of the current On-Board Computer Taxi (BCT) and paves the way for developments in the ICT sector.
