Did you get off on track 1 at Heemstede-Aerdenhout station and did you find out on the spot that the lift is not working? Then get on a train to Haarlem station and get off there. You can order a taxi from Haarlem station via NS Customer Service, which can be reached on telephone number 030 – 235 78 22. They will then drive you to Heemstede-Aerdenhout station. ProRail pays the taxi costs.
Did you get off on platform 2 at Heemstede-Aerdenhout station and did you find out on the spot that the lift is not working? Then get on the Sprinter in the direction of Leiden Central and get off at Hillegom station. You can order a taxi from Hillegom via NS Customer Service, which can be reached on telephone number 030 – 235 78 22. They will then drive you to Heemstede-Aerdenhout station. ProRail will also pay the taxi costs in that case.
ProRail will replace the lift installations at Heemstede-Aerdenhout station from 27 March. This is necessary because the lifespan of the lift installations is almost coming to an end. Previously, the work was supposed to start on February 27, but this has been postponed. The replacement will last until mid-June 2023. Both the lift to platform 1 and the lift to platform 2 will be out of service during that period.

Station Heemstede-Aerdenhout is the only railway station in the municipality of Heemstede and is located on the Oude Lijn, between Leiden and Haarlem, which is next to the Leidsevaart.
