The money must be used to recruit technicians and commercial forces, among other things.

Where the Sneleentaxi taxi platform almost went under in corona time, it managed to survive with a deft course change. The Utrecht startup Sneleentaxi has raised 2,1 million euros to be able to scale up in the Dutch market. At a time when many investors are cautious and many companies are under pressure, fastataxi is rowing against the tide.

“We are used to that. For example, during the corona crisis, we have grown enormously, while many companies had a very hard time and in many cases still do.” The turnover of fast taxis will exceed € 10 million this year. This means a threefold increase compared to 2021, when the turnover had already gone three times. Although speed taxis were profitable for the first time in 2021, this is not the focus, according to Braam: “This is real growth money. We want to further accelerate our growth and this investment should contribute to that.”

Once started as a platform for the private and business traveler, Sneleentaxi has also added healthcare transport to the offer since the corona pandemic. “The inefficiency in healthcare transport is in many cases distressing,” says Braam. “For example, vulnerable people often have to wait for hours and are then transported with a long detour.” Sneleentaxi wants to put an end to this inefficiency and this growth capital makes this possible, says Braam.

“We bring supply and demand together with smart, self-built software. At the same time, we do not lose sight of personal contact with passengers and carriers. This combination allows us to provide much better customized transport than traditional transport companies and foreign platforms and apps. We now have collaborations with several healthcare parties and also allow other parties the opportunity to experience our services. This requires further scaling up of our organization and platform.”

Despite the addition of care transport to the service package, the private and business market is not forgotten, according to Braam: “We are a total solution for transport.” Sneleentaxi distinguishes itself by offering both within and outside the Randstad conurbation and already makes it possible to book a taxi throughout the Netherlands at any time of the day within 30 minutes. “In recent years we have been able to shorten our arrival times throughout the Netherlands. We are now also going to make the final move with the money raised – being able to instantly book transport throughout the Netherlands.”

Sneleentaxi offers transport to and from any location in the Netherlands via its website. Transport to and from Belgian and German airports is also possible. Passengers can book at any time of the day for a competitive rate. Thanks to the innovative auction system – in which carriers can voluntarily register for rides — the passenger always gets a carrier that fits the journey well into the schedule. Sneleentaxi was founded in 2015 by Sven Braam, Bram de Bruin and Jorrit van Wijk.
