The 12th edition of the Bloemencorso Flower Parade Rijnsburg will kick off on Friday 75 August. Both the 75th anniversary and the designation as an international Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO give cause for a grand celebration with the theme 'PARTY'. For three days there will be a lot to see, such as no fewer than 300.000 flowers and plants on floats, music and passenger cars with the most beautiful and special creations.
Flower Parade Rijnsburg presents itself for the 75th time
On Saturday 13 August, the colorful parade will pass through the streets of Rijnsburg, Katwijk and Noordwijk. With nearly 70 units, including floats, bandwagons and flower-decorated vehicles, this parade is one of the most beautiful in the Netherlands. The hundreds of musicians and extras make the Flower Parade Rijnsburg into a moving theatre.
Flower Parade Show Friday, August 12 from 16.00 p.m.
The official opening of the Flower Parade will be performed on Friday 12 August by a mystery guest who will come to the Netherlands especially for this anniversary edition.
After that, the freely accessible Flower Parade Show will start at the Royal FloraHolland Flower Auction in Rijnsburg. The doors are open to the public from 16.00 p.m. The Flower Parade Show is an atmospheric afternoon and evening with music and lots of flowers. Here everyone can view and photograph all the cars at their leisure. Especially for the children, three Disney princesses are present between 16.00 and 19.00 pm. The children are asked to dress up as a princess, prince, pirate, everything is allowed.
