Munckhof, together with human development company Webego and Taxi Donkersloot, will develop and train candidates to become (taxi) drivers in the municipality of Goeree-Overflakkee. A letter of intent for a collaboration in the transport learning process was recently signed by Harm van Hoof van Munckhof, Peter Klink of Taxi Donkersloot and Alderman Berend Jan Bruggeman.

The learning process is intended for candidates from the Participation Act who would like to develop further in the transport sector. The Participation Act covers residents of the municipality who find it more difficult to find work. During the learning process, the candidates are taught employee and professional skills that are appropriate for the profession of (taxi) driver.

Learning path
The learning trajectory starts at Webego, the human development company of the Goeree-Overflakkee municipality. Candidates are first trained here on the basis of a workbook, in order to learn more about, for example, communicating with passengers, professional driving behavior and driving according to a timetable. The next step is for candidates to gain experience in the field at Munckhof or Taxi Donkersloot. Both organizations are willing to train candidates and, if they function well, offer them a job.

Social return
The taxi companies are investing in the economic vitality of the island together with the municipality. Forces are joined to develop people so that they can (again) participate fully in our society.

Intent agreement
The collaboration is sealed with the letter of intent. All parties signed the letter of intent to join the partnership with enthusiasm and to prepare new employees for the profession of (taxi) driver.
