Tikkie is normally mainly used for social activities, but use in the taxi also grew rapidly last year. With the free app, individuals and businesses can send payment requests via WhatsApp and other services, text messages and QR codes. The Eindhoven-based Pitane Mobility responded well by integrating Tikkie as a payment option in the customer app Pitane Arrive.

Statistics from ABN-AMRO show that a Tikkie is paid within 38 minutes of receipt in 5 percent of the cases. A wonderful invention for taxi drivers who can pay for ride orders in advance, so that the ride order suddenly belongs to the category of pre-booked contract work with pre-agreed rates. Tikkie was founded in 2016 and now has more than 6 million users. All in all, they have already tapped about 7,8 billion euros in all those years.

Customers can now easily pay with a Tick. From the Pitane Driver app you send a Tikkie at the start or at the end of the ride. You can also arrange the cash payments of all your taxi drivers with a payment request at the end of the shift. No more wasted time with depositing money at the office during the trip statement processing. You can easily arrange all payments from a business account. Everyone can pay via Tikkie, no problem.
