Are we in a second corona wave? Or will more corona infections come to light because we test more? Lockdown measures are being taken locally in more and more countries. Yesterday, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs made various adjustments to the travel advice to certain countries. More and more areas in France are turning from yellow to orange on the map. This is due to the increase in the number of corona infections. Last week, two popular areas in France were also excluded for holidays and changed to code orange, namely the capital Paris and the coastal area of Bouches-du-Rhône on the Mediterranean, around Aix-en-Provence and Marseille.

Yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs again adjusted the travel advice on the Dutch Worldwide website. In a number of departments in France, the COVID contamination rate has increased significantly. This applies to the following departments: Aveyron, Bas-Rhin, Haute-Marne, Indre et Loire, Landes, Marne, Meurthe et Moselle, Seine Maritime, Tarn and Vienne. The color of these areas has therefore been changed on the map from 'yellow' (note: safety risks) to 'orange' (only necessary trips, no holidays). Travelers returning from these orange areas must be quarantined at home for 10 days in the Netherlands.

The utilization rate is still high in Paris, the departments of Ain, Alpes Maritimes, Bouches-du-Rhône, Corse-du-Sud, Côte-d'Or, Essonne, Gard, Gironde, Haute-Corse, Haute-Garonne, Hauts- de-Seine, Hérault, Ille-et-Vilaine, Isère, Loire, Loire-Atlantique, Loiret, Maine-et-Loire, Nord, Pas-de-Calais, Puy-du-Dôme, Pyrénées Atlantiques, Pyrénées Orientales, Rhône, Sarthe, Seine-et-Marne, Seine-Saint-Denis, Tarn-et-Garonne, Val-de-Marne, Val-d'Oise, Var, Vaucluse and Yvelines. The color code orange continues to apply for these areas. Travelers returning from these orange areas must be quarantined at home for 10 days in the Netherlands. Sunday reported the Telegraaf that 10.569 new corona infections were added in one day in France.
