avoid crowds and travel outside rush hour as much as possible

Face masks remain mandatory in public transport, but the number of seats is as usual. Standing up during transport is not allowed, the official pitches in trams, for example, are excluded. The contagion risk is expected to increase only slightly with these relaxations. Students and pupils are allowed to travel during rush hour again, but agreements will be made about lesson times.

The NS previously announced that the night network and the last missing trains will also run from Monday, June 29. This will resume the full timetable. Working at home as much as possible remains in force and advice is also given to avoid rush hour and crowds in public transport.

after July 1 back in the car together

From 1 July, there will no longer be a limit on the number of people allowed to drive a car together. As long as people can keep a distance of one and a half meters, no maximum number of visitors for meetings will apply from 1 July. This makes events such as fairs and street fairs possible on 1 July. In practice, major events for which a permit is required will only take place again from mid-August.

There is an exception for nightclubs and discotheques because they will remain closed for the time being. In September, the Cabinet will consider this further.
