The mobility platform SD Op Weg op Schouwen-Duiveland introduces the shared car project 'Schouwen-Duiveland Shares". In recent months, work was started with various partners on the start-up of five electric shared cars on the island. The first two shared cars were made available to residents.

The shared car project falls under the banner of the mobility platform SD Op Weg, an initiative of the municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland, the Province of Zeeland and many local partners. The platform helps mobility initiatives on their way and connects them together, in order to arrive at an island mobility network while working.

Five shared cars in Renesse, Brouwershaven, Zierikzee and Bruinisse

The project was partly thanks to the Zeeuwland housing association. Outside office hours, it makes three electric commercial vehicles available to residents in Renesse, Brouwershaven and Zierikzee. The corporation is of the opinion that it contributes to increasing mobility and thus the quality of life on the island.

Thanks to a contribution from Windfonds Krammer, two cars have also been realized in Bruinisse that are available 24/7. The shared cars were realized with the help of the Sustainable Mobility Zeeland Foundation and Fioole e-cars. The charging infrastructure at the locations has been facilitated by CZAV via AgriSnellaad.

Register via the GoodMoovs sharing platform

From now on, residents register with the sharing platform GoodMoovs. The cars are reserved and opened via this platform. You can participate via the prepaid method or by taking out a subscription. The shared cars in Bruinisse can be used from 2 June. The cars of Zeeuwland are not yet in use due to the corona crisis. The housing association expects to open it to third parties in a few months' time.

The parties involved strive to realize even more vehicles on Schouwen-Duiveland. This is possible as soon as there is sufficient enthusiasm from a district, village or city. Residents can order a subscription via a form. If there are enough private or business subscriptions in the area, the platform will install a new shared car. In this way, residents and their local residents realize a shared car in the neighborhood.
