It has been lying since March 16 CBR (Central Bureau for Driving Certificates) silent due to the consequences of the corona crisis. No more theory and practical exams could be taken. The theory exams started on May 13. The practical exams for the moped and the engine control vehicle control have started again from 11 May.

From today, practical exams for the trailer, car and motorcycle can also be taken. Driving tests and the interim test can also be taken. Those whose practical exams have been canceled in recent weeks due to the corona crisis will be given priority. About 300.000 exams have been postponed by the CBR in recent weeks, said CBR director Alexander Pechtold.

CBR director Alexander Pechtold says in it NOS Radio 1 News, “Last week we managed to plan another 100.000 exams for the near future. That is a gigantic operation. ”

Because the CBR cannot give priority to everyone at the same time, they have followed a sequence. This order is as follows: First, the professional exams for, for example, trucks and buses are taken. After that, the theory exams for passenger cars (B) and mopeds (AM) are taken. Finally, the theory exams for motor (A) and recreational craft are taken.

However, there are a number of safety rules and guidelines that everyone must adhere to. To date, a plexiglass plate between candidate and examiner has not been chosen, due to intervention during an examiner's exam. Incidentally, possibilities with plexiglass are being investigated.

The candidate and examiner must wear a face mask during the exam. The driving instructor may not ride during the exam, the candidate drives together with the examiner. Parts of the teaching car are cleaned extra. The candidate is asked to disinfect hands beforehand. And the candidate is asked to clean his or her ID before it is handed over to the employee of the CBR.
