Many ambulances are driving to Brabant today to pick up patients and relieve the ICUs in Brabant. In the past 24 hours, the number of people in the Netherlands who died from the consequences of the coronavirus increased by 43 patients to 179, the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) reported on Sunday. However, the actual number of infections is much higher, because not everyone is tested anymore.

In the coming week, an estimated 500 to 700 Brabant coronavirus patients will have to be transferred to other hospitals in other provinces in order to be able to handle the care capacity. The armed forces will mainly help with planning and continuing to monitor patients, even if they are located in another province.
