Mobility currently looks different. Now that the corona crisis is causing more victims every day, equipment is used that many did not know is available in our country. During the past week, the Netherlands was introduced to the ambulance bus en masse. It also indicates the seriousness of the problem, of course.

Three cooperating Regional Ambulance Services decided to scale up the assistance in the north more quickly, so send more ambulances and realize more capacity to be able to treat victims on the spot in the event of an emergency. For this they have bought a second-hand regular bus. This was subsequently converted by ambulance builder Visser in Leeuwarden and converted into an ambulance bus.

In the hospitals in Brabant, so many patients report to the gate that the pressure there is so great that several dozen have been transferred to the North. In addition, there are also many other initiatives where transport companies offer their services among other forms as part of the new mobility,

The ambulance bus now provides six permanent treatment rooms. The vehicle is stationed at Groningen Airport Eelde. This location was chosen because the bus should be able to be anywhere in the Northern Netherlands in an hour.
