Five drivers of Taxi Frenske have been without a salary since 1 January, because the employer could not reach an agreement with the tender for healthcare transport in the region. According to CNV, the reason was the termination of the healthcare transport contract, which was transferred to Transvision. The contract reportedly made up 80% of the sales for the respective company through the end of 2019.

change of contracts

Transport contracts do not always remain with the same carrier. Within the taxi industry, it is possible that tendered transport contracts change carriers in the meantime. This is possible because transport contracts are terminated before a tender is issued or a contract holder chooses to work with another subcontractor. In many cases, the employee is then given the option of 'moving along' via the OPBC scheme.

CNV has now instituted a salary claim because the drivers have not been officially fired and therefore cannot apply for benefits.

“It is outrageous how Taxi Frenske now leaves the drivers to their own devices. We take seriously into account that the owner consciously aims for one bankruptcy”Severijns tells transport online.

CNV states that the company already put the employees in a separate personnel BV last autumn. When this will soon go bankrupt, the wage claims on it will break. Because then there is nothing to get there. It all seems like a preconceived plan to get rid of people cheaply.

Taxi Frenske says meanwhile working on solutions, for example by seconding employees to other taxi companies. The drivers are quite willing to do this, but according to the rules of the taxi collective labor agreement.
