Selling all business units in their entirety after the bankruptcy of the Zeeuwse Taxicentrale Renesse is an almost impossible task for the TCR receivers. There is quite a lot of interest in the various business units, but a restart for the entire company is not successful.

The bankruptcy trustee De Meester has not yet commented on the cause of the bankruptcy, but does say that the company has in fact become too big. The priority for the coming days is an agreement with the insurers on the level of the premiums paid for the risks of transport. An additional problem for the TCR receivers is the fact that the insurers are also creditors of the TCR Group.

Not only were wages secured through the UWV, agreements were also made with fuel suppliers and ICT companies. In the meantime, hard work is being done behind the scenes to save parts and to make a restart, in whatever form. Regardless, the TCR Group as we knew it until bankruptcy will never return in its entirety.

NVC en FNV continue to point to clients and municipalities that tender out journeys. The margins in passenger transport are very small and the fact that clients such as public transport companies and municipalities market the rides in tenders at rock bottom prices continues to raise questions. In addition, part of the answer is also the fact that carriers continue to register at these rock bottom prices.

According to the union FNV, the problems are said to be due to poor payers and low rates, especially for care and student transport. The company had been struggling with difficult financial papers for years. Deferral arrangements for payments with suppliers and systematically extending payment terms were part of the daily policy. And that has now come to an end.
