Today writes the NRC that SchipholTaxi brought summary proceedings on Friday against NRC following two publications about the taxi company a week earlier. NRC indicates that it spoke with more than sixty people involved in the case.

According to the NRC, the articles describe how SchipholTaxi asked taxi drivers in 2014 for large sums of cash in exchange for a preferred position within the taxi market at Schiphol. In some cases, the amounts amounted to thousands of euros in cash.

The company's director, Gamis el Bouakili, thinks that the newspaper has not provided sufficient evidence that SchipholTaxi has asked taxi drivers for money. El Bouakili believes that the publications have damaged his name and reputation. He demands that the newspaper publish a rectification in the paper newspaper and remove the articles from the internet.

In addition to SchipholTaxi, the BIOS Group spokesperson also has data corrected

Earlier this week, the Passenger Transport Magazine was also made aware that the publication wrong used to be. The BIOS group responded to the wrong conclusion of the involved NRC journalists. A spokesperson for the company indicates that this is a misrepresentation.

It is not the case that the payments of € 15.000 to € 25.000 referred to in the NRC article are journeys, but rather the purchase of somewhat older gas-powered Volkswagen vans, part of lot 4 in the original tender.

The BIOS spokesman also indicated that the company fully supports the investigation promised by Schiphol. "If fraud is identified, we will take appropriate action - if it concerns us."

The indictment against NRC by SchipholTaxi director Gamis el Bouakili, also ex-chief agent, will be a new chapter in this kickback affair according to the NRC. SchipholTaxi is one of three taxi companies that are allowed to work at the airport.
