Statistics from Statistics Netherlands show that the transport sector experienced enormous growth in 2019. Within logistics, turnover even increased by more than 6 percent. To stimulate this development, the Rotterdam heavy equipment lease company BEEQUIP is launching a new campaign today, specifically aimed at the logistics sector. It's all about the song of life: Henk Wijngaard is the first artist to be represented with a song for truckers.

A campaign from the heart

BEEQUIP believes that SMEs are the engine of the Dutch economy. That is why it is committed to SMEs by offering lease solutions to help SMEs grow. The fact that their approach is different from that of the competitors, the big banks, is also apparent from the choice for the new campaign: the song of life.

Peter Loef, co-founder and partner:

“People love the song of life, whether you are a driver or a CEO, the emotion that comes with it touches us all. It is a wonderful means of transport for our story. ” A collaboration for this project was found in Henk Wijngaard, the figurehead of logistics in the Netherlands. Wijngaard thought it was “an honor to participate in this song and this project.”

He kicks off the campaign today and sings his new trucker's song for the first time at a suitable location: De Tweede Steeg, the truckers' café of the Central Netherlands in Amersfoort. With the performance BEEQUIP wants to reach the truckers and let them become familiar with the possibilities that exist for financing their equipment.

Little chance of a loan from the bank

Despite the positive figures on the growth of the transport industry, SMEs face a challenge when it comes to applying for financing. These entrepreneurs in the Netherlands receive a bank loan less often in 16% of the cases compared to SMEs from other European countries, according to research by the Central Planning Board.

"That financing for SMEs can be a challenge is visible in the transport and logistics industry",says Ricardo Huisden, logistics expert at BEEQUIP.“This is because there are few permanent, long-term assignments in this sector. That creates uncertainty, while a loan requires certainty of income. ”

BEEQUIP solves this problem by looking beyond numbers. Peter Loef explains: “Whether you are looking for a used truck or want to expand your fleet of electric buses: we know the equipment. And as 'business pollinators', we are there to help SMEs grow and prosper.

That is why we look more at the plans than at the financial statements. The iron goes above the numbers and we also lease used equipment. So when an entrepreneur with a good idea comes to us for financing, we rarely say no. ” The Rotterdammers are already proving their new motto: BEEQUIP understands what you move.
