The Minister drs. C. van Nieuwenhuizen Wijbenga does not share the opinion of Van Dijk (PvdA) and member Dijkstra (VVD) about the bankruptcy of the Zoetermeer traffic school that this bankruptcy shows that there is a proliferation of driving schools and that there is something about it must be done.

The Minister does not consider it a task of her department to support the students whose driving test had already been scheduled to complete, together with the Central Bureau for Driving Skills (CBR) to see whether a solution can be found for the victims.

“Bankruptcy is first and foremost a private law matter. The government has no role in this. Scheduled exams will be taken by the CBR as long as there is coverage, ”said the Minister in response to questions asked in a letter to parliament dated 8 August 2019.

Victims can submit their claim, accompanied by supporting documents, to the curator. The claim will be verified at a later stage.
The curator still receives daily notifications of claims. These claims will be placed on the list of provisionally recognized debts, but will have to be verified later.
