In addition, the SLM must provide certainty about flights that are still scheduled for later dates.

The Surinamese Airline SLM plans to resume the Paramaribo-Amsterdam flight route on Wednesday 20 July. The Surinamese Luchtvaart Maatschappij, the national airline of Suriname, expresses the hope that by opening the Paramaribo-Amsterdam route we have taken a first step in regaining the trust of the traveling public and the Surinamese community.

According to Surinamese media the ANVR asked the SLM by letter last week to repay the money from flights that were not performed in accordance with the rules. In addition, the SLM must provide certainty about flights that are still scheduled for later dates. SLM had stopped the route due to financial problems. Only KLM currently flies between Schiphol and Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport, better known as Zanderij.
