The construction of the new Sint-Anna Linkeroever junction will start on Monday 12 April. Whoever travels south via Antwerp must take into account a lot of traffic nuisance. From Thursday, April 8, traffic will be diverted for the construction of the new traffic junction St. Anna near the Kennedy tunnel. The construction of the junction itself will last until the spring of 2024 and will take place in several phases. The first phase will run until August when the junction will be demolished and traffic will no longer be able to use the existing motorway and will have to use temporary roads. The traffic junction must eventually become safer and quieter. It connects the Antwerp ring with the E34 and Charles de Costerlaan on the left bank. It will later also be the connection to the future Scheldt tunnel.

De traffic diversion happens in four nights from Thursday evening April 8 to Monday morning April 12. Locally, account must then be taken of reduced capacity, temporary closures and changing traffic situations. Traffic between the E34 and the E17 / Kennedy tunnel can pass the yard on 2 x 2 narrowed lanes next to the existing highway. However, traffic destined for Linkeroever and Waaslandenhaven-East is routed around the Sint-Anna junction via temporary roads.
