The big question is whether organizers should reschedule, cancel or let the event go ahead and minimize risks. This week it was announced that, although the government offers the possibility to organize trade fairs again from September 1, 2020, the organization has extensively researched and discussed the chances of a successful Funeral Expo with all involved. Due to the effects of corona, the communication about it and the additional regulations and measures, it appears to be too risky to organize or participate in the fair in October.

“Concern for the health and well-being of exhibitors, visitors and employees is always paramount. In addition, the uncertainty makes it impossible to guarantee you, as a visitor, a sufficiently qualitative fair in October. ”

The corona measures ensure that many planned events have to be canceled, especially now that the corona virus is back on the rise. This virus is for niemand fun. Organizers, visitors and suppliers are asked to show solidarity with each other. If the event must be canceled definitively by order of the measures of the government, you can rely on force of the majority. The Funeral Expo organization has obviously fully understand the position of the majority of exhibitors who prefer to see the fair postponed.

“It is true that today we cannot guarantee success. To our great regret, we have therefore decided to move the fair to 2 & 3 October 2021 ”, said Veerle Tuytschaever in a communication email to those involved.

The funeral sector is constantly changing, often with new trends, as well as amended regulations that follow each other. Funeral Expo is the official international fair of the undertaker, for the undertaker, in the heart of Europe.
