No more rebooking costs for flights from Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines:

Fundamental change to the ticket fare structure.

-Lufthansa Group Airlines offers its customers even more flexibility.

-The rates “All-round carefree package” and “Bring me Home NOW” have been extended until the end of September.

Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines generally change their fare structure until the end of December. With immediate effect, all rates can be rebooked multiple times for free, including for example the lowest rate without checked baggage. In response to the pandemic, Lufthansa Group Airlines had already made a one-time free rebooking possible in the spring. The new regulation applies worldwide to all new bookings on short, medium and long-haul routes. The airlines of the Lufthansa Group meet the needs of their customers even better with flexible travel arrangements. However, customers may incur additional costs if, for example, the original booking class is no longer available when rebooking to another date or destination. Any difference will be compensated by means of an additional payment.

The airlines of the Lufthansa Group also respond to the special needs of customers during the corona crisis and continue to promise return flights on all European routes and, together with AXA Partners, travel insurance for protection in the country of travel. On-site coverage applies in the event of a travel alert or a significant spread of the pandemic. Travelers are flown back to Germany, Austria or Switzerland with Lufthansa, SWISS and Austrian Airlines. The Economy Classic, Business Saver, Economy Flex and Business Flex fares include a “worry-free total package” that covers, among other things, the costs of quarantine, travel interruption, a telephone consultation before and during the trip or medical repatriation. In the “Bring me Home NOW” fare, customers are included on the Lufthansa Group's next bookable flight if desired. These rate extensions are free and are now extended until the end of September.
