Is it actually clear to the travel organizations themselves how they should deal with a corona voucher if the booker falls ill or dies? Or do they make rules about this out of courtesy? When asked how it is arranged with a travel voucher in the event of death or illness that I have submitted to various agencies, I received the following comprehensive answer from press officer Anke van Nieuwenhuizen of travel organization TUI:

'The vouchers we issue are personal and are always in the name of the main booker. However, transferring the (remainder) voucher to another participant of the original booking is permitted. In addition, the voucher can be used to pay for a trip of which the main booker, or one of the participants of the original booking, is not part. This could provide a solution for the situations you outline. However, if this is not an option given the seriousness of the situation, we will consult with the relevant customer to determine what other options are available at that time. In addition, if the voucher has not been redeemed within one year after issue, TUI will repay the (residual) value in cash no later than 1 year after the issue date. '

Non-profit organization SGR replied that I can find all information about this on their website website. On their website, the question is: What happens if the lead booker cannot use the voucher due to illness or death? The answer on their website is:

In principle, the voucher with SGR guarantee is not transferable. In situations of illness or death of the main booker, it can be decided in consultation with the travel organization whether the voucher can be used by a fellow booker. This person must then be on the original booking '.

I receive a short and succinct answer to my question from the travel agency Prijsvrij: The SGR-corona voucher is an initiative of the SGR and ANVR. It is best to contact them for your question.
