Taxis Verts has tightened safety measures in its vehicles to address the health crisis. Plexiglas walls are installed throughout the company's fleet. The system should reassure drivers who are now hoping for a significantly more number of customers who will be left behind en masse for the time being.

“Like any passenger transport company, it was essential to take safety measures to ensure that our taxis are a safe means of transport for both our drivers and passengers,” explains Jean-Michel Courtoy, Director of Taxis Verts Brussels.

The Company Thursday launched a campaign to increase social distance in vehicles. All drivers are therefore requested to report to the company headquarters in Vorst, so that in their taxi a plexiglass plate is separated which separates the front and rear. A process to be completed by early June for the 550 vehicles in the fleet.

Drivers are also advised to wash hands, cabin ventilation, clean after every ride, etc. The company also recommends that customers wear a mask that they make available. Currently, the activity is 20% compared to a normal situation and Taxis Verts is still far from the usual volumes.
