Edwin Renzen presented a draft version of the new Stint during KindVak, the trade fair for professionals in primary education, childcare and youth care. The adapted mode of transport Buszy to replace the old Stint is currently being inspected by the RDW traffic authority on behalf of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management.

request from surviving relatives

The Stint brand name will continue to exist, but the model used to transport children will soon be called Buszy, Renzen said in a conversation with Omroep Brabant. Whether this Stint is safe is difficult for him to answer. "That's a relative term," he says.

The Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management made a request on behalf of surviving relatives to change the name of the electric wagon. 'Stint' has received a negative association after the accident in Oss, in which four children died in 2018 after the Stint was hit by a train. Previously, the name Stint 2019 was used for the new model.

The Buszy was presented last week at the KindVak fair in the Brabanthallen in Den Bosch, but is not yet allowed on the road. According to Rensen, the new name also has a less negative association. The Stint brand name will continue to exist. Only the new model that will be used to transport children will be called Buszy.
