Connexxion Taxi Services and the Province of Flevoland have officially confirmed their collaboration by signing a contract for the call center activities of FlexRRReis Flevoland.
This new transport system replaces the Regional taxi Flevoland and must be operational by July 1. The intention is that it will become a more efficient and customer-friendly system for both WMO transport and OV-Flex transport. With the arrival of FlexRRReis Flevoland, transport in the province is being reshaped. Connexxion, in collaboration with Willemsen-de Koning Groep BV, will be responsible for WMO transport in the municipalities of Lelystad, Zeewolde, Dronten and Noordoostpolder. In addition, the OV-Flex transport within the province regulated under this new contract.
According to Fred Blok, commercial manager at Connexxion Taxi Services, it is an important step forward. “We are very happy with this opportunity to use our call center and customer service expertise to improve and develop mobility in the Flevoland region. We can't wait to get started!” says Blok.
The collaboration between Connexxion and the province must ensure that travellers who depend on adapted transport can count on a reliable and efficient service. The call centre activities play a crucial role in this, since a large proportion of travellers will have to book their ride by telephone.

The province of Flevoland emphasises that the transition to the new system will be carried out carefully, so that travellers do not experience any inconvenience and transport remains accessible to everyone who depends on it.
Willemsen-de Koning Groep BV is a well-known player in the world of target group transport and already has experience with similar projects in other provinces. Together with Connexxion, they must ensure a smooth transition from the old Regiotaxi system to the new FlexRRReis Flevoland.
The signing of the contract marks the final formal step before the operation actually starts on 1 July. In the coming months, Connexxion and Willemsen-de Koning will focus on the implementation of the new system, including training staff, setting up customer service and testing the logistics processes.
For travelers in Flevoland, the arrival of FlexRRReis Flevoland will probably see some changes in the way they can arrange their transport. Details on possible fare changes, routes and booking procedures are expected to be announced in the coming months.
