The Ruhrorter Hafenfest offers an extensive program spread over four days.
The Ruhrorter Hafenfest in Duisburg is just around the corner, and this year it promises to be a spectacular event. From August 16 to 19, 2024, the port of Ruhrort will be transformed into a vibrant festival site, filled with music, culture, maritime flair and of course an impressive fireworks display.
The festival starts on Friday, August 16 with an ecumenical service at 16:30 PM, followed by the official opening at 17:00 PM. From 21:00 PM the Groove Delighters will fill the evening with live music until the early hours.
Hafenkirmes
In addition to the fireworks, there is a host of attractions at the Hafenkirmes, which takes place on the Mühlenweide. Here visitors can enjoy exciting rides such as the Riesenrad, Kesseltanz and the Shaker. In addition, there are various boat tours and bus tours through the port area, as well as ship visits to, among others, the Duisburg fireboat and the steamship “Jan de Sterke”.

Sunday, August 18 will be all about family-friendly activities with performances by the Sonny Boys and NEON, as well as the popular Hinterhof-Trödel event, where visitors can discover and purchase unique items.
One of the major attractions of the Ruhrorter Hafenfest is the Duisport-Höhenfeuerwerk, which will be launched on Friday evening at 23:00 PM from the Friederich-Ebert-Brücke.
