Three new appointments during the general meeting of members of KNV in De Bilt.
Diana Begeman is willing to be part of the board and replaces Wim Leewis who stepped down as a board member due to the closure of his company. She is the owner and director of Taxi Steen in Ommen, formerly a member of DVG. Taxi Steen offers various forms of taxi services, such as student transport, airport transport and transport for people with disabilities, with a fleet of approximately 40 vehicles.
Mark Weinholt, of DVG, is also stepping down as a board member as his second term comes to an end. Björn van de Weem, who became director of DVG on 1 April last, has agreed to join the board. DVG in Rijen is a national franchise organization for taxi and coach companies. On April 25, the board decided earlier to nominate the candidates for appointment as board member during the members' meeting that took place in De Bilt last Monday, which was approved with approving applause.
The Council of Members, the highest body within the federation, approves, among other things, the finances and usually meets once a year.
KNV Healthcare Transport and Taxi has the right to appoint four persons for the Council of Members of the KNV federation. Until now, three people had been appointed: Wim Brouwer, Ingrid van Driel and Lucien Brouwers, so that one seat was available. Jan van Kasteren of Taxicentrale de Meierij from Liempde is prepared to take on this position. Taxicentrale de Meierij specializes in small-scale passenger transport, including street taxis, patient transport, group transport, wheelchair transport, executive transport, and shared taxi transport, with approximately 31 vehicles and 65 employees.

In addition to KNV Zorgtransport and Taxi, BVN, represented by Hans Bartels, Leon Ghielen and Monique Snijders, and rail freight transport, represented by Nanouke van 't Riet, are also represented in the Members' Council. On February 14, the board decided to nominate Jan van Kasteren to the members' meeting for appointment as a member of the members' council. Jan was also appointed with approving applause by the members present.
Royal Dutch Transport is the umbrella organization for professional passenger transport. KNV Healthcare Transport and Taxi and Bus Transport Netherlands are part of Royal Dutch Transport. KNV represents both the collective and individual interests of its members. As a trade association, KNV is continuously involved in public and private consultation structures. Thanks to this continuous active participation, KNV is able to effectively represent the interests of its sectors and makes an important substantive contribution to mobility issues at both national and international level. Good contacts with politicians and the civil service are of great importance in this regard. In order to further optimally represent the members' interests, the KNV works closely with national and international interest groups, such as the employers' organization VNO-NCW, the IRU and the UITP.
