Thanks to the new feature, Bolt aims to make the customer experience even better.

The largest mobility platform in Europe adds the new function 'planned Rides' rides to the app. This allows Bolt users to book their rides from 72 hours in advance. This much-requested feature provides a better user experience that makes it easier for travelers to plan a taxi in advance.

“The feature allows passengers to book a ride on a selected day, pick-up time and location. Bolt drivers receive the fare well in advance so they can get to the traveler on time. In the test phase we saw a success rate of 99 percent”

Scheduled Trips is a godsend for both regular Bolt users and Bolt Business users. For example, Bolt Business users can book work-related rides or rides for business customers throughout the Amsterdam area via their account. The function is also useful for private customers who need to travel to the airport, train station or bus station. Bolt works together with Schiphol for this, so that users can easily book a ride immediately after landing thanks to designated pick-up points. Thanks to the new feature, users can now also plan a trip further in advance, so they can get to the airport on time and make their flight stress-free.

Thanks to the new feature, Bolt aims to make the customer experience even better. If no drivers are available to carry out a planned journey at the specified time, the traveler will be informed in time so that a new appointment can be made. The mobility platform also expects such situations to occur in less than 1 percent of planned journeys.

Bolt users can cancel a scheduled ride free of charge up to an hour before the pick-up time. Drivers will wait for the traveler at the pick-up location for five minutes at no extra charge. After these five minutes, the user pays for each additional minute according to the prevailing prices.

By letting users book rides up to 72 hours in advance, Bolt aims to meet users' mobility needs. The scheduled rides feature provides convenience and predictability for users in Amsterdam and will eventually be expanded to the other cities in the Netherlands where Bolt is active.
