What could be better than going to Zandvoort for a weekend or day on a sunny day. Go to the beach and enjoy a nice lunch at one of the beach pavilions or to the Zandvoort Circuit. The seaside town is really a tourist attraction and attracts many visitors every year. The number of tourists and day trippers is growing every year. Visitors to Zandvoort also have to park somewhere, which entails enormous parking nuisance for the residents. Residents often cannot park their car during busy periods. To keep Zandvoort liveable and accessible, new parking rules will apply from 1 July.
According to the municipality of Zandvoort, parking will become easier for residents. There will be 2 permit areas, Zone A and Zone B. Zone A is the center and the strip behind the boulevard, Zone B is the rest of Zandvoort. There will be a clear distinction between the residential areas, where residents or entrepreneurs can park anywhere, and the cheap parking spaces for (beach) guests and tourists. As a permit holder in Zone A, you may park in Zones A and B. As a permit holder in Zone B, you park in Zone B and you can also park in Zone A for 4 hours a day with the free residents scheme.
Tourists and (beach) guests park cheaply in the large parking lots and areas. At P De Zuid, the boulevards and in the parking garage in the center. Here they can be parked for € 15 per day. Beachgoers and tourists are encouraged to park in the cheap parking lots. To do this, the street parking fee has been increased and better signage points to the low-cost parking spaces.
The residential areas are for residents. Residents with a resident's permit, possibly supplemented by a residents' scheme, can park throughout Zandvoort from 1 July 2023 (with the exception of the LDC Garage, P De Zuid, the boulevards, Haltestraat and Grote Krochtopstraat). Residents without a resident's permit who park at home on their own property can use the residents' scheme throughout Zandvoort Park for 4 hours a day in Zone A (with the exception of the LDC Garage, P De Zuid, the boulevards, Haltestraat and Grote Krochtopstraat).
