With the rapid rise of electric transport, Floading sees public transport as an important growth market.

Arnhem-based Floading, a provider of sustainable mobility solutions, has been awarded a major contract by public transport in Antwerp. Floading will install the entire charging infrastructure for Antwerp public transport. In total, no less than 36 high-power DC chargers will be spread over the Waaslandia service area.

By using smart energy management systems that monitor the energy flows in the environment, the chargers respond to fluctuations in the energy supply and can smooth out peaks in energy consumption. Waaslandia aims to operate completely emission-free with all electric city buses by 2025. The current order represents a value of several million euros, and scaling up the number of buses to 220 can significantly multiply this value.

“With these new high-power chargers, we increase the accessibility of sustainable transport and reduce CO2 emissions from both city buses and trucks. This is an important milestone, both for us and for Antwerp. This is how we make electric transport accessible to everyone. Our chargers can charge the batteries of the buses and trucks within three hours and offer a range of 400 kilometers."

Floading is a leading supplier of charging stations in the public transport sector. The company has built successful partnerships with renowned public transport companies such as Connexxion and the leading Chinese bus manufacturer BYD (Build Your Dreams).

With the rapid rise of electric transport, Floading sees public transport as an important growth market. After years of experimenting, more and more public transport companies are finally making the switch to electric vehicles. As an innovative pioneer in the industry, Floading supplies high-quality charging solutions that meet the growing demand for electric public transport.
