The airline is now encountering another problem.

Also this weekend the Dutch airline Transavia disappoint travelers, just like at the start of the May holiday. The Consumers' Association receives many questions. The consumer advocate has a tool on the site with which people can easily check whether they are entitled to compensation.

In recent days, several flights to and from Eindhoven Airport have been canceled at the last minute due to problems with fleet capacity. Until now, travelers flying from Schiphol have remained unaffected, but according to a Transavia spokesperson, additional flights will also be canceled there in the coming days.

The consequence of the delayed delivery of the aircraft and aircraft parts is that we cannot quickly repair even 'minor' technical defects. As a result, aircraft from our current fleet cannot be used for flights for a longer period of time. Safety of our operation is always paramount.

With the start of the summer season we would have phased in 5 aircraft. That means we would add 5 aircraft to our existing fleet. Unfortunately, 3 of these aircraft will be delivered later than planned.

Transavia, which is owned by the airline KLM, was forced to cancel extra flights on Friday and Saturday, something that also happened earlier this week. The planned maintenance of the existing fleet is overrun because aircraft parts are not delivered or are delayed.

The airline is now encountering another problem. In recent days, a petition online placed to conclude a good collective labor agreement for the Transavia cabin crew on behalf of VNC and FNV Cabine. According to the initiators, they are entitled to a collective labor agreement with appreciation for their work, which they perform with motivation and pride. Especially the financial working conditions are not in balance with the responsible and irregular profession. That is why they expect Transavia to provide an adequate solution to take a positive approach to the future.
